There is a stigma in the films that young Punjabis are often comedians or youngsters aspire to shift to foreign lands. However, this is only the one side as Punjab and Punjabis are much more than this.
Although the representation of Punjabis have been uplifted by the Bollywood filmmakers for long time now, there is still long way to go. In a recently released film 'Goodluck Jerry', starring Janhvi Kapoor, the makers depicted Punjabis abruptly and some artists from Punjab expressed their displeasure for the same.

The recently released film 'Good Luck Jerry' describes the tale of a Bihari girl residing in Punjab who makes effort to make some fast cash and ends up smuggling drugs. The story's depiction of drug in Punjab and its setting didn't go well with a huge number of crowd.

However, the post was later deleted by the singer.
