Ranveer Singh Starts Preparing For Kapil Dev’s Biopic ‘83’
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is portraying the role of living cricket legend Kapil Dev in upcoming film '83', has started preparing for the role. The actor was recently spotted on the cricket pitch. Ranveer will be undergoing some intense training under Kapil Dev to attain perfection for the role.
According to the reports, the makers will be organizing a cricket camp in Mohali where the cricketers including Kapil Dev, Yashpal Sharma and Madan Lal will be giving their inputs to ‘83’ team.

Some of the pictures of Ranveer Singh’s latest training are going viral on social media. The actor will be recreating India’s 1983 World Cup-winning moment where Kapil lifted the country's first ever World Cup trophy at the iconic Lord's balcony.
Besides Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Jiva and Sahil Khattar among others. Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk is making his Bollywood debut with this film. He is is playing Balwinder Singh Sandhu, who knocked out Gordon Greenidge in 1983 cricket world cup final.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film is slated to release in April 2010.
