'RRR' for Oscars! Makers apply for individual categories at 95th Academy Awards

RRR in 95th Academy Awards 2022: After the ‘Chhello Show’ movie was announced as India's official entry to the Best International Feature Film category at Oscars 2022, the makers of 'RRR' have announced that they have applied for the individual categories at 95th Academy Awards 2022.

While announcing the news, the team of 'RRR', penned a heartfelt note. They seemed to be optimistic about their chances and have applied for the 'individual categories' at the Oscars 2022.

In the note, the makers wrote: "We are honoured that RRR's overwhelming success represented Indian Cinema on the global stage by creating milestones at the worldwide box-office and uniting film buffs across the world by transcending linguistic and cultural barriers."

"We're grateful to each and every one who loved our film and cheered us over the past few months. You made this journey possible. We applied to The Academy for Oscars consideration in the general category," the note added.

Meanwhile, RRR's hope for an Oscar nomination is still alive as the makers have applied for the nomination in 14 categories under the 'For your consideration' (FYC) campaign.

So, the journey of RRR for the 95th Academy Awards 2022 begins as makers have submitted Jr NTR, Ram Charan's film in 14 categories at Oscars 2022.
