Days after the Punjabi singer was shot dead in Mansa, Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father veteran writer-producer Salim Khan received a threat letter on Sunday.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered at the Bandra police station against an unidentified person in the case. Further investigation is underway, according to the news agency ANI.
The police said that Salim Khan found the letter on a bench where he used to sit daily after his morning walk at around 7.30 am-8.00 am in his and Salman Khan's name.
The unsigned letter issued threats to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan. It was found near the Bandra Bandstand promenade in Mumbai on Sunday.
Reportedly, the police were informed about the threat mentioned in the letter and likewise, they have been checking the CCTV footage in the area.
The threat letter comes a few days after it was reported that Salman Khan’s security has been beefed up as Lawrence Bishnoi was said to be the key accused in Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder case.
Earlier in 2018, Salman Khan was on the radar of Lawrence Bishnoi as one of Bishnoi’s aides was arrested after he threatened to kill the actor in connection with the blackbuck case.
Recently, Salman returned from Abu Dhabi this weekend after IIFA Awards 2022. He attended the show with several other Bollywood stars.
On the work front, Salman Khan has a few movies in his pipeline. These include Tiger 3, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, and a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
