Salman Khan Quits 'Dhoom 4' & Abhishek Bachchan Is Not The Reason!

Superstar Salman Khan has reportedly opted out from the fourth installment of the 'Dhoom’ to be made under Yash Raj Film's banner.

According to the media reports, the deal between Salman and Aditya Chopra for ‘Dhoom 4’ was finalised post the release of 'Race 3'.

Soon after the things finalised, the rumours emerged that ‘Sultan’ actor has refused to be a part of ‘Dhoom 4’ because he didn't want to share screen space with Abhishek Bachchan in the film due to his history with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Abhishek's character ACP Jai Dixit has been an integral part of the franchise since its first release in 2004.

However, these reports proved wrong.

As per Dailyhunt, Salman in a recent media interaction informed that he doesn't want to portray a villain on the silver screen.

According to Salman, he doesn’t want to convey a negative message to his followers by playing a negative character on screen.

Besides Abhishek, Uday Chopra has also been an integral part of the franchise.

Actors like, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan played out the negative characters in previous three installments.

The last installment of Dhoom series ‘Dhoom 3’ reportedly earned over Rs 550 crore worldwide, making it the fourth highest-grossing film in the history of Hindi cinema.
