Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ Earns Rs 20.14 Crore On Day 1 After Mixed Reviews

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release ‘Zero’ has managed to earn Rs 20.14 crore on its opening day of release in India. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to share the details.

The romantic drama, which also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, was released in about 4380 screens in India.

Taran Adarsh tweeted: “#Zero has underperformed on Day 1, despite extensive release + #Christmas vacations… Sat and Sun biz extremely crucial… Fri ₹ 20.14 cr. India biz.” The film’s performance is better than Shah Rukh’s last release ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ which earned Rs 15.25 crore on the first day of its release.

In the film, Shah Rukh Khan has portrayed the character of Bauua Singh from Meerut who is a dwarf. Katrina plays the role of an actress while Anushka plays a scientist who is suffering from cerebral palsy.

The film is directed by Aanand L Rai.
