In a debt default and fraud case, a city court on Tuesday granted her bail. The bailable warrant issued against Sunanda Shetty last month was dismissed by the metropolitan magistrate court in Andheri. On Tuesday, Shetty was in court to hear the verdict delivered by Metropolitan magistrate RR Khan.
The non-bailable warrant that had been issued against her has also been dismissed. When Sunanda Shetty failed to appear in court during the case's most recent hearing, the court issued this order.
Sunanda was charged with a Rs 21 lakh transaction. The actress's mother had been sued by councillor Firoz Amra, who operates an automobile agency. Shilpa Shetty's father, Surendra Shetty, is said to have taken a loan from her in 2015 for Rs 21 lakh. The Shetty family, however, declined to pay back the money following his death in 2016.
The court then asked to take action against Shilpa Shetty, her sister Shamita, and her mother Sunanda when the case came before it on March 11, 2022.
The Sessions Court eventually suspended the inquiry in this instance, according to media sources. The court, on the other hand, had ordered the case against Sunanda to be continued solely because it believed her daughters were unrelated to the matter.
