Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Case: Punjab Police on Wednesday got 7-day remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who was brought to Punjab and later produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Mansa court in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala's murder.

Currently, Punjab Police is investigating Lawrence Bishnoi's role in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. He was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Mansa court by Punjab Police on Wednesday.

Lawrence Bishnoi was brought to Punjab’s Mansa district amid tight security on Wednesday morning and later brought to Mohali's Organised Crime Control Unit (OCCU) centre.

He was presented before the Mansa's duty magistrate following the medical examination at the district civil hospital. After getting the police remand, the Punjab Police shifted Bishnoi to Mohali, where he will be questioned.

On Tuesday, Delhi’s Patiala House Court had allowed Punjab Police to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder case. It also allowed Punjab Police’s transit application.

Advocate Vishal Chopra, appearing for Bishnoi, had opposed the Punjab Police's plea saying that there was a security threat. There was an apprehension that Lawrence Bishnoi may be “eliminated" if transit remand is given, the news agency ANI reported.

It may be recalled that Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29.
