Sikh Man Donates Land For Mosque In UP To Spread Peace And Harmony

Amidst the ongoing rage of Ayodhya dispute, a 70-year-old Sikh man has donated a piece of land for a mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. He did the heartwarming gesture during the auspicious month of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Social activist Sukhpal Singh Bedi made the announcement of the same at an event in Purkazi town in the district on Sunday.

Reportedly, the Sikh man runs a cloth shop and it is his tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji on his 550th birth anniversary. He wanted to spread the message of peace and harmony with his gesture.

“When Guru Nanak got enlightenment, the first words that he said were Na koi Hindu, na Mussalman (There is no Hindu and no Muslim). As Bedis are known to be direct descendants of Guru Nanak, by this small gesture, I aim to foster the same spirit in society, where I could see a sense of distrust emerging once again in the last few months,” he told The Hindu.

Incidents like these just remind us that humanity is still alive!
