Sirjanhaari: Meet Social Activist Amarjeet & Acid Attack Survivor Pragya

The upcoming episode of PTC Punjabi’s TV show ‘Sirjanhaari – Samman Naari Da’ will be aired on November 4, Sunday. The upcoming episode will showcase the journey of two inspiring women – Amarjeet Kaur Dhillon and Pragya Prasun.

‘Sirjanhaari – Samman Naari Da’, which went on air on September 9, has been getting positive reviews from the audience for showcasing real life stories of women who battled odds to change the world around them.

Here is the synopsis:

Amarjeet Kaur: Born and brought up in Patiala, Amarjeet Dhillon is a social activist. After serving the Bank for 20 years she opted Voluntary retirement in 2001 to give full time social services. She started helping poor in the year 1991. First she raised funds to help for son of a poor Gunman (Class IV employee) of her bank where she used to work. Gunman’s son need urgent kidney transplant. She raised Rs 2 lacs by collecting funds.

She then developed a habit of raising funds for the needy and the poor patients.

Pragya Singh: She is an Acid attack survivor turned activist who has been fighting for providing relief and rehabilitation to her fellow acid survivor by coordinating with eminent doctor from across the country for medical advice
