Kapil Sharma's debut movie as a producer “Son Of Manjeet Singh” has been getting positive reviews from the viewers. According to our sources, the film has earned about Rs 70 lakhs in its opening weekend across India. Gurpreet Singh starrer film is expected to perform well during the upcoming Dussehra holidays. Released on October 12, the film is about the beautiful bond between a father, played by Gurpreet Ghuggi, and his son, played by Damanpreet Singh. In the film, Ghuggi wants his son to study and makes his future by taking up a conventional job. On the other hand, his son Damanpreet Singh, is not interested in studies. His aim is to become a cricketer. His role models are Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh. Besides Ghuggi, the film also stars BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Japji Khaira in the pivotal roles. Directed by Vikram Grover, the film has a strong message. So far, the audience liked the theme and its story line. They have praised Gurpreet Ghuggi for his phenomenal acting in the film. Some of them even termed “Son of Manjeet Singh” as the ‘best parenting film ever’. However, going by the film’s collection during its first weekend, it would be right to say that Punjabi movie lovers are still not going to theatres to watch good content. They are more interested in comedy films.
