Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding rumors have been in the air quite a few months ago. But, now their families have ended all the rumors and have officially announced their wedding by saying, "The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai . Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives."

Earlier, the couple was considering a destination wedding and Switzerland was their first choice. Lately, both of their families decided to hold the wedding ceremony at a heritage bungalow in Mumbai. Sonam and Anand's wedding will be an intimate affair with only close friends and relatives in attendance.

Invitations reveals all the functions and ceremonies of Sonam and Anand's wedding. The Kapoors will have a gala celebration starting from May 7 at Sunteck, Signature Island, where the Mehendi ceremony is supposed to take place. Reports say that the famous choreographer Farah Khan has been approached for the Mehendi dance for Sonam Kapoor. After taking their wedding vows on May 8 at Rockdale, Bandra which is Sonam’s aunt’s bungalow, the couple will move onto The Leela, Mumbai for an evening filled with fun, frolic, dance and laughter.
