‘SRI HARMANDIR SAHIB’ AWARDED AS THE MOST VISITED PLACE OF THE WORLD

Earlier, in year 2016, “Gurdwara Harmandir Sahib” was ranked 3rd on country’s tourist attraction list. And in year 2017 “Book Of World Records, London” awards Harmandir Sahib as the most viewed place in the world. The Chief Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Dr. Roop Singh received the award.

World Book Of Records, London is one of the mammoth organisation that catalogs and verifies a huge number of World Records across the World with authentic certification. Randeep Singh Kohli, Sagar Kapoor, Santosh Shukla, Dr. Rajiv Shrivastav and other members of World Book Of Records presented the award.

“Harmandir Sahib” is surrounded by Sarovar which is fed by River Ravi. The construction of Harmandir Sahib was completed in 1604 and it presently runs the kitchen that serves meal to an average of 1,00,000 people daily.

Harmandir Sahib is also known as “Golden Temple”. This magnificent Gurdwara Sahib is the holiest Gurdwara of Sikhism.
