Sunny Deol, Anil Sharma celebrate Holi on the sets of 'Gadar 2'

Holi with 'Gadar 2' cast: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol on Friday celebrated Holi with his son Karan Deol on the sets of 'Gadar 2', the film which also features Ameesha Patel.

Sunny Deol enjoyed Holi with his son Karan Deol, filmmaker Anil Sharma and the rest of the team of 'Gadar 2' by smearing each other with colours. "Happy Holi everyone from the team of Gadar 2," he captioned the post.

'Gadar 2' is a sequel to Sunny Deol’s 2001 blockbuster 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' which was announced in October. The film is being helmed by Anil Sharma, who also directed the original.

Deol and the team have shot the film in Himachal Pradesh and in the film studios. The original movie, a partition-set drama, followed the story of Tara Singh (Deol), who falls in love with a Pakistani Muslim girl, Sakina. Late Amrish Puri was also a part of the original film.

Meanwhile, the sequel of 'Gadar 2', reunites Sunny Deol with Ameesha Patel. The film is set to release later this year.

'Gadar 2' cast also includes film director Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma in the lead role alongside Sunny and Ameesha. Utkarsh had played the role of Sunny and Ameesha’s son in the first installment.

Sunny and Ameesha have already shared that they were excited about the sequel. Sunny Deol was last seen as the director of the film 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas' which also marked the debut of his son Karan Deol.
