ਬਰੇਨ ਸਟ੍ਰੋਕ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਟੀਕੇਅਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਈ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾ ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਸੀਕਰੀ ਹੁਣ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਠੀਕ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਰਬੋਤਮ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।। ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਸੂਦ, ਜੋ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਲਾਬੰਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਚਰਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਵੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਕਾਬਲ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।

ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਦੇ ਪੀਆਰਓ ਵਿਵੇਕ ਸਿਧਵਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਵਿਵੇਕ ਨੇ ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਦੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸੰਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੁਰੇਖਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

Surekha Sikri (born 19 April 1945) is an Indian theatre, film and television actress. A veteran of Hindi theatre, she made her debut in the 1978 political drama film Kissa Kursi Ka and went on to play supporting roles in numerous Hindi and Malayalam films, as well as in Indian soap operas. Sikri has received several awards, including three National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. . Sikri won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress thrice, for her roles in Tamas (1988), Mammo (1995) and Badhaai Ho (2018). She was awarded the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role in 2008 for her work in the primetime soap opera Balika Vadhu and for the same show won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2011. In addition, she won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1989 for her contributions towards Hindi theater. Her latest release Badhaai Ho (2018) got her immense recognition and appreciation from viewers and critics. She won three awards: the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film. . Sikri belongs to Uttar Pradesh and she spent her childhood in Almora and Nainital. At the beginning stage of her career she attended GEC, Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh. Later she graduated from National School of Drama (NSD) in 1968, and worked with the NSD Repertory Company for over a decade before shifting base to Mumbai. Surekha Sikri was the recipient of 1989 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. . Her father was in the Air Force and her mother was a teacher. She was married to Hemant Rege and she has a son, Rahul Sikri from her first marriage, who lives in Mumbai and works as an artist. Her husband, Hemant Rege, died due to heart failure on 20 October 2009. Noted actor Naseeruddin Shah is her former brother-in-law, as his first marriage was with her step-sister Manara Sikri also known as Parveen Murad. She is their daughter Heeba Shah's maternal aunt.
