Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta have worked together in movies like ‘Lahoriye’, ‘Angrej’, and ‘Love Punjab’. While the duo appeared first in ‘Angrej’ movie together in 2015, their Jodi was loved by the audience.

The pair then starred in ‘Love Punjab’ in 2016 and ‘Lahoriye’ in 2017.

Released in May 2017, the movie revolves around a Sikh man from India and a Muslim girl from Pakistan falling in love. The couple is forced to separate during the time of partition.  Written and directed by Amberdeep Singh, the movie did extremely well at the box office with a collection of 23.74 Crore.

The historical drama garnered love from the audience, as well as movie critics. It won 16 awards in different ceremonies for showing the effect of India-Pakistan partition in both the countries. The emotional drama has amazing songs and an enthralling plot for the movie lovers.

Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta were awarded with best actor and best actress award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards for the movie.
