Top Singers Of Punjabi Music Industry Mourn Over Death Of Raagi Ji, ‘Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’

Padma Shri recipient, highly intellectual Raagi ji ‘Bhai Nirmal Singh Ji’ died on Thursday, on April 2 due to deadly coronavirus. His death has come as a huge shock to everyone. Sixty seven year old hazoori raagi Nirmal Ji was tested positive of COVID-19. He knew more than thirty raags in Gurbani of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and was a revered raagi in The Golden Temple, Amritsar. His spiritual and melodious voice shall be missed by everyone.

Top singers of our musical industry have mourned over his death. Gurdas Mann, a legendary singer has posted a picture along with raagi ji with an emotional caption. He expressed his grief and told the world how it is a great loss to us. He told how Nirmal Ji never thought about casteism and always loved everyone.

Not just the singers, but famous comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi has also posted Nirmal Ji’s photo. He has termed this unfortunate incident as a shock.

Nirmal Ji’s death is really unfortunate. Due to lockdown situations and practise of social distancing, his last rites were done around 8:30 pm after resolving some issues. It is a serious situation prevailing in the outside world due to this corona crisis. Coronavirus will snatch away such a gem from all of us was completely unknown. However it is an unbearable truth which can’t be changed now. As of now, the area from where he hails i.e Verka (nearby Amritsar) is being taken care of, to look for the spread of this virus.
