Vaisakhi is a spring harvesting festival of Punjab. On the auspicious occasion of Vaisakhi, farmers harvest their crops and celebrate their long journey of hard work and patience shown in the wheat fields while farming. Vaisakhi also marks the formation of Khalsa Panth of warriors under the blessings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the year 1699 in Ananpur Sahib. Hence, it is a festival of dual celebrations. Not only this, Vaisakhi marks the beginning of Sikh new year as well.

On this day, Gurudwaras around the globe are decorated beautifully. People offer prayers at Gurudwaras on this day to begin their year with utmost positivity. However, amidst lockdown, people might have to pray at their homes this year. We might not witness Bhangra, Gidhha and other folk performances in Vaisakhi events, but we can definitely cherish the old ones! Here is a tip from our side!
