Wamiqa Gabbi is one of the most talented female actors in Punjabi Film Industry. Not only in Punjabi Films, she has also worked in the Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. She was made her screen debut in the Hindi film Bittoo Boss in 2012. She is a trained kathak dancer. Her big break came with the Punjabi film with Yo Yo Honey Singh and Amrinder Gill, Tu Mera 22 Mai Tera 22. She went on to star in two other Punjabi films Ishq Brandy and Ishq Haazir Hai as a co-star to actor Diljit Dosanjh. Wamiqa Gabbi who won a lot of adulation for her Mollywood debut Godha is all set to star in another Malayalam movie. This time with superstar Prithviraj, in the actor’s own co-production titled 9, which is a sci-fi film directed by Jenuse Mohammed. Several fans had speculated the actor is playing an astronomer, a mythical red comet is a prime plot device and many even highlighted the Cassiopean constellation and the Westerhout 5 Soul Nebula shown in the poster. Wamiqa was born on 29 September 1993 in Chandigarh, India and was brought up there. Her father, Govardhan Gabbi is a Punjabi writer and her mother, Raj Kumari, an educationist. Her younger brother Haardik Gabbi is also a budding actor and Musician. She always wanted to be an actress. Wamiqa can write, speak and understand Punjabi, Hindi and English.
