It's been 29 days since Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district. All his fans and admirers have been seeking justice for him and have been paying homage to the departed soul.
Not only in India but also Sidhu Moose Wala's name is roaring loud across the world. While several global celebrities have been paying homage to the late singer, now, a Chicago girl Hazmeet paid tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala.
Paying homage to Sidhu Moose Wala, Chicago's Hazmeet, during her convocation, did the signature 'thaapi' and wrote a heartfelt note while sharing the video.

She mentioned two reasons behind doing the signature 'thaapi'. "First one is pretty obvious. I could not celebrate my graduation without acknowledging the fact that Punjab suffered its greatest loss in a very long time just two weeks ago. My heart is still grieving and I wanted to tell the arena full of 99.99% Americans about Sidhu Moose Wala," she wrote.
"Even if they didn’t get what I was doing. This thaapi, the smallest of gesture, the smallest of tribute I could ever pay to Moosie who did so much for Punjab, was my way of grieving while celebrating the legend that he will always be," she added.
Furthermore, she wrote: "The second reason was that I want to tell the world, anywhere I go, that I come from Punjab. The land of five rivers, the land of ten Gurus, the land of warriors. The land where we celebrate our fallen heroes. I’m a PUNJABI. And I wanted to shout it at the top of my lungs."
