WATCH: From Commentary To Hugging Virat On Field, Ranveer Singh Steals The Show During Ind Vs Pak WC Match

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, known for his magnanimous energy both on and off the screen, surprised his fans after he paid a surprise visit to Manchester where the highly-awaited World Cup contest between India and Pakistan was played on June 16.

The actor, who will be seen essaying the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in his forthcoming film '83,' made his debut as a commentator at the ground of Old Trafford on June 16.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to cricket's biggest stage. The World Cup and the biggest cricket match -- India vs Pakistan, doesn't get bigger than this!" he started.

Not only, he made his commentary debut, the actor also engaged with the 'Men in Blue' prior to the match, clicked selfies with his fans, matched steps with Sunil Gavaskar and even hugged Indian captain Virat Kohli on the field after team India registered win over arch-rivals Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for his film ‘83’ in London. The film is based on India’s maiden World Cup victory in 1983 under the leadership of Kapil Dev.

The film also features Punjabi stars Ammy Virk and Harrdy Sandhu in key roles. Directed by Kabir Singh the film is slated to release in April 2020.
