Watch: Jasbir Jassi Describes Today’s Plight With This Poem ‘Kudrat’

Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi is taken aback with the spread of the novel coronavirus. He has penned and sang a heart – wrenching poem ‘Kudrat’, which describes today’s plight of the world.

The poem begins with him reciting ‘Jo san bohate pak pavittar, jo san bohate saaf charittar. Jo san kal tak rabb ton vadde, jinha si jag vich jhande gadde.’

It touches the audience with its hook line ‘Kudrat sab barabar karte’.

Meanwhile, Jasbir recently became the national icon by election commission of India. His music has been recognised by having great mass appeal which cuts across diverse age groups and especially to young voters.

Jasbir Jassi started recording for Punjabi films including ‘Passport’ and ‘Zakhmi’ in the late 1980s. The title song Dil Le Gayee Kudi Gujarat Di of his second album was a commercial success while Kudi Kudi from his third album and Channo Da from Nishani Pyar Di also did extremely well.
