Watch: Ranveer Singh, Ammy Virk Celebrate 36 Years Of 1983 Cricket World Cup Win

Actors Ranveer Singh and Ammy Virk celebrated India’s maiden World Cup victory, which happened 36 years ago, by sharing videos on their social media handles respectively. In the videos, one can see some iconic moment of India’s World Cup win and some behind the scenes of their upcoming movie ‘83’.

Ranveer captioned the video as: "Thirty six years ago on this day, India turned the world upside down! #ThisIs83."

On the other hand, Ammy Virk captioned the video as: “36 saal@pehla ajj de din india ne world cup jitteya c, feeling proud, n es waar v mainu poori umeed te poora yakeen ae k asin hi jitttaaaange... ?????. WAHEGURU JI.”

Currently, the actors are in London to shoot the first leg of their film ‘83’. Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘83’ is based on India's historic victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

Ranveer is portraying the iconic cricketer Kapil Dev in the film. Ammy, on the other hand, is playing Balwinder Singh Sandhu in the film.

Besides, the film also features Harrdy Sandhu, Deepika Padukone and Wamiqa Gabbi among others. The film is releasing in April 2020.
