WHAT DOES NO-SHAVE NOVEMBER AND PUNJABI ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY HAVE IN COMMON

Beard for Punjabis is an integral part of their styling. Irrespective of the fact whether or not you sport a turban, beard has always been a manifestation of machoism. But now, looking manly is not the only reason to keep a stylish beard. You can also serve a cause while refraining from shaving your beard.  Even in Punjabi entertainment industry there are some stars who are known for their iconic beard. The likes of Amrit Maan and Parmish Verma are hailed as much for their beard style as their talent.

No-Shave November is a web-based, non-profit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. No-Shave November is a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness.

No-Shave November is not a blown up fad though. The idea behind this initiative is the fact that cancer patients usually lose hair during their treatment like chemotherapy. So rather than paying the barber for a haircut or beard grooming, the organization tells people to donate the same money to educate people about cancer awareness which would help facilitate those fighting this disease.

So next time you pick up your razer, remember, this is No-Shave November.
