Winnipeg is the capital of the Canadian province of Manitoba. While Canada is considered as Mini-Punjab, the Sikh people living there are still following the Guru’s lessons in the foreign land, which is now their home.
Knowing that Winnipeg is taken by a snowstorm, a Sikh man named Jagtaran Sidhu, the owner of Desi Pizza and Curries is delivering free food to anyone who is asking him during the snow storm.
He says, “I don’t think I am doing anything great here. It’s a part of Sikh family tradition. We call it ‘Langar’, ‘langar’ means open to all, doesn’t matter which caste or religion.”
Jagtaran is delivering hot bowl of rice and curry to people calling and asking for food. He further adds, “I won’t mind even delivering after my working hours, I’ll be more than happy to stay up all night.”
We salute the deed of this man!
