WORLD FOOD INDIA 2017 EVENT WILL SHOWCASE INDIA'S CULINARY DIVERSITY

World Food India 2017, the event to acknowledge the ‘Food and Beverage Industry’ is a three day event that will celebrate the food and beverage industry of India. The event is a great opportunity for Indian Food companies at it will be a great platform to network and collaborate with domestic as well as International businesses.

World Food India 2017, which is being organized from 3rd November to 5th November 2017 in New Delhi by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India will witness a large presence of investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, policy makers, and organizations from the global food ecosystem.

Earlier there were reports that India’s favourite dish ‘Khichdi’ will be promoted as the national dish of India, however, Union Minister of Food Processing, Harsimrat Kaur Badal tweeted that it was only for a record entry in 'World Food India', an event meant to showcase India's culinary diversity.

Renowned Chef Sanjiv Kapoor has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the event. In a bid to set a world record, the event will also have a huge quantity (800 KG) of Khichdi cooked at the event.

Talking to PTC Punjabi, Harsimrat Kaur Badal expressed her delight for the event and even cracked a jibe at her husband ‘Sukhbir Badal’ for his love for food. Extending an invite to everyone, Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the event will have a vibrant world food street that will have cuisines for different states as well as countries.
