Days after Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song, now the Haryanavi version of the 'SYL' song, sung by Ramkesh Jeevanpuria has been removed by YouTube.
Notably, Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song was removed on the basis of complaint filed by the government. However, it remains unclear if the complaint was filed by the Punjab government, Haryana Government, or the Central Government.
Now, Ramkesh Jeevanpuria's Haryanavi version of the 'SYL' song has been deleted by YouTube on the complaint of journalist Rudra Rajesh Singh Kundu.
Sidhu Moose Wala's song on the Sutlej Yamuna Link canal was released posthumously. In just a few hours, the song was watched by millions of people across the globe.
As soon as the song was released, a controversy took place around the lyrics of the song. Some said that the song is about not giving even a drop of water to Haryana, while some people thought it was about mentioning the establishment of Khalistan through this song.
Soon after this, the Haryana artists came up with the Haryanvi version of SYL. These included Ramkesh Jeevanpuria, Masoom Sharma and others. Rudra Rajesh Singh Kundu, a well-known journalist from Haryana, accused Ramkesh Jeevanpuria of stealing content, covered by his channel The Ink and The Agro during the Kisan Andolan and including it in his song.
Rudra sent a legal notice to Ramkesh Jeevanpuria through his lawyer Vikram Mittal and asked him to pay Rs 1 crore as compensation.
