Yuvraj Singh Retires: Did You Know Before He Became A Cricketer, He Acted In 2 Punjabi Films!

2011 World Cup hero and ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh on June 10 left his fans stunned after he announced his retirement from all forms of International cricket. Yuvraj Singh, who last donned the Indian jersey in 2017 during a T20I match against England, announced his decision in a press conference in Mumbai.

“After 25 years in and around the 22 yards and almost 17 years of international cricket on and off, I have decided to move on. This game taught me how to fight, how to fall, to dust off, to get up again and move forward,” he said at a press conference in Mumbai.

Yuvraj Singh will always be remembered for hitting 6 consecutive sixes off Stuard Broad in a T20 match against England. Besides, he was the main hero behind India’s World Cup victory in 2011. He won the man of the series award after he scored 362 runs in eight innings, which included four fifties and one century.

On this day, let’s remind our readers that before entering into the cricket field as a professional cricketer, Yuvraj, son of Punjab’s superstar Yograj Singh, had tried his hands in acting as well.

Yes, the ace cricketer had acted in two Punjabi movies as a child artist. Yuvraj appeared in a Punjabi film starring actor and singer Hans Raj Hans, called Mehndi Shagna Di. The film released in the year of 1992 and Yuvraj was just 11-year-old.

Reportedly, he had also featured in Punjabi Putt Sardaran De, which was also released in 1992.

We wish him Yuvraj Singh all the best for his future!
