A Look Back At 2020! See How PTC Entertained Audience During Pandemic Year

Since coronavirus hit in March 2020, everything seemed to be paused. A long nationwide lockdown took place and only essential products were available. Almost all firms were shut apart from public services, hospitals, and media professions. As social gatherings were restricted, so all theaters and sizeable events were also closed. 2020, the year filled with fear, disappointments, and negativity had done great to ott platforms. As theaters were shut and nobody could visit in large numbers, big films released online, as well as a lot of events, took place online. Among the virtual events, PTC's most grand events were also planned. Here are all the events that the PTC Network scheduled online to entertain their viewers: PTC Film Awards 2020 PTC Film Awards was the first award ceremony in the world that took place on a virtual platform. The event was held on 3rd July and was attended by big Pollywood celebrities. The deserving films and stars that won the awards were: Gippy Grewal's Film "Ardaas Karan", the film won 6 awards. Gippy Grewal's son Gurfateh Singh Grewal aka Shinda won the award for the best child actor for the same film "Ardaas Karan." Diljit Dosanjh was awarded as the Best Actor for the movie "Shadaa." Sonam Bajwa won the Best Actress award for "Ardab Mutiyaran." Award for Most Popular Song was won by Ammy Virk for "Wang Da Naap", starring Sonam Bajwa and Ammy Virk. Talking about the performances, the event was taken to a next level when Sunanda Sharma joined the stage. It was the first time that any event was performed online and PTC Film Awards was a huge success and audiences enjoyed the show virtually. PTC Music Awards 2020 PTC Music Awards were scheduled for 1st November. The event was hosted by Aparshakti Khurana and Khushbu Grewal. The event was hosted online, where famous Punjabi celebrities like B Praak, Harshdeep Kaur, and Karwar Grewal performed. The soulful voice event presented awards to famous singers: Sunanda Sharma for Best Pop Vocalist. Best Music Director Religious was awarded to Parvinder Singh Babbu. Best Non-Resident Punjabi Vocalist was given to Jazzy B. Best Group Song award was presented to Lopoke Brothers. Liveathon Liveathon was a concert in association with Facebook to raise funds for the pandemic. PTC took a great initiative to raise funds for the organisations helping others during bad times. #SOCIALFORGOOD was used for doing so. The Liveathon journey helped 600 NGOs for the good cause. The concert was hosted on 24th April, where celebrities like Divya Dutta, Harshdeep Kaur, Jaani, and Lakhwinder Wadali entertained the viewers. Musicology - Virtual Music Festival on World Music Day Musicology was a Live E Concert that took place on June 21, World Music Day. The Musicology had well-known celebrities like Lakhwinder Wadali, Satinder Sartaaj, Kamal Khan, Noopur Narayan, Bir Singh, Shamsher Lehri who performed in the event. The world music day is celebrated on June 21, to honour the day, this event was scheduled. Dilettante artists also got an opportunity to showcase their skills. Swag Te Superstar Show Swag Te Superstar Show was co-partnered with My FM. The show featured notable stars including Parmish Verma, Gurnaam Bhullar, Gippy Grewal, Sukhbir, Aastha Gill, and more. The main theme of the show was to bring the lockdown experience of the Pollywood stars. The artists also performed for the viewers. Swag Te Superstar Show was launched on 4th May. The show invited all the stars virtually to maintain the laws and order of social distancing and lockdown. Teddi Life, Thodi Comedy Show Teddi Life, Thodi Comedy Show was hosted by Rj Golmal Gagan. The show summoned famous comedians like Aakash Gupta, Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Sumeri Pasricha, Parvinder Singh, Jaspreet Singh, and Sudesh Lehri, who discussed comedy and life. The artists talked about their struggles, experiences, comedy style, and much more. Also, they shared views on politics and politicians. Hunar Punjab Da Last but not least we have Hunar Punjab Da. It is the first-ever show that brought the versatile talent of Punjab and was loved by the audience. PTC E Concert Ptc E Concert was organised live. The shows had some soulful voice artists like Karam Rajput, Harvinder Harry. The next episode of E Concert featured Ravinder Grewal, Noopur Sidhu Narayan, Amar Shembi, the show was scheduled for the proud day, Independence day. The next episode for the same featured Amar Shembi, Afsana Khan, Mannat Noor, Sonali Dogra, Tanishq Kaur, Noopur Sidhu Narayan, Pardeep Sran, Sukhpreet Kaur, Deepesh Rahi, Anantpal Billa, and Kamal Khan. This episode was organised for the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The concert was a huge success as it brought the live audience, who enjoyed the soothing voices of Punjab's stars. This is the pack of shows that PTC brought for the audience, keeping coronavirus in mind.
