Akshay Kumar talks about 'Boycott' trend: While there is a trend related to the call for a boycott of 'Raksha Bandhan', the actor recently discussed the same on Twitter while he was promoting his upcoming movie. After the writer Kanika Dhillon's purportedly "Hinduphobic" tweets were pulled out by several people, 'Raksha Bandhan' film started drawing criticism. A lot of people recommended people to boycott the movie in theatres.

Akshay Kumar was recently asked about a boycott of both Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and his upcoming film 'Raksha Bandhan' at a promotional event in Kolkata. The actor said that "it's a free country, and anyone can do what they want," but he also made a request to the individuals who are encouraging such trends.
