Akshay Kumar tests positive for Covid-19 right after beginning the shoot for Ram Setu.

On Sunday morning Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram handle and shared the news of him testing positive for Covid-19.

The picture he shared mentioned, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. A few days back Akshay Kumar unveiled his first look from the forthcoming movie 'Ram Setu'. The movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Also, the star cast of the film began the shoot after some days back after attending the Mahurat ceremony in Ayodhya.

Other than Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and many others were also tested positive for COVID-19.

Hopefully Akshay Kumar will recover soon and get back on the sets of 'Ram Setu' which is directed by Abhishek Sharma.
