For the past few months, the Bollywood industry is witnessing a ‘boycott trend’ on social media and it is apparently affecting the films at the box office. Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha', and Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' are recent examples of the same. In the meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor dared to respond to the 'boycott trend' but got brutally trolled by the netizens.

After 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and 'Raksha Bandhan', Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Pathaan', Ranbir Kapoor's 'Brahmastra' and Hrithik Roshan’s 'Vikram Vedha' are also becoming the victim of the 'boycott trend'.

Besides, a lot of people are calling for a boycott of the whole Bollywood industry. Similarly, #BoycottBollywood is also trending on social media.

While talking to Bollywood Hungama, Arjun Kapoor talked about films facing boycott trends and said that he was of the belief that they made a mistake by being silent about it. He said it was their decency but people started taking advantage of it. He further said that he thought it was a mistake to think that ‘our work will speak for ourselves’. “ab zyada hone laga hai…unfair hai," he said.

Furthermore, he said that the people from the Bollywood industry need to come together and do something about it "Lagaatar keechadd uchalte jaenge to nai gaadi bhi thodi si shine kho degi na? Humne to kaafi keechadd jhel lia hai pichhle kuch saalon mein kyunki we turned a blind eye on it," he said.
