Ayushmann Khurrana, a Bollywood actor, has established himself as India's current poster boy for content cinema. The actor took to Instagram and shared a throwback picture of himself with his parents, with the caption, "Thank you Maa and Papa for all the values and all the life lessons that you have patiently taught me. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is directed by Abhishek Kapoor who is known for films like Kai Po Che!, Rock On!!, Kedarnath.

The movie also stars Vaani Kapoor and the story of the film intends to re-ignite a national discourse on love is love as Ayushmann falls in love with a trans-woman in the film.
