‘Aren’t we are all enjoying new Bobby Deol': Alia Bhatt praises Bobby Deol 2.0 ahead of Alpha

Bobby Deol’s comeback in Bollywood continues to impress audiences, and actress Alia Bhatt is also a big fan of his new journey. After winning hearts with his powerful villain role in Animal, Bobby is once again ready to surprise viewers with his intense anti-hero character in Alpha, where he shares the screen with Alia.

Alia Bhatt praises Bobby Deol new version

Speaking about her co-star, Alia described Bobby as a "gentle giant." She said that while he has a strong and commanding presence on screen, he is one of the kindest and most humble people she has worked with.

“I call Bobby Deol a gentle giant because he looks so powerful on screen but has the most gentle soul,” Alia shared. “While shooting together, I realized that he does brilliant things naturally without even realizing it. It never feels like he is acting. He is simply a natural performer.”

Alia also revealed that director Shiv Rawail often praised Bobby after a shot, but the actor himself would be surprised by the compliments.

“The director would say, ‘Bobby sir, what a shot!’ and Bobby sir would reply, ‘I have no idea what I did.’ Shiv would tell him it was outstanding, and Bobby would simply ask if another take was needed. He says that because he doesn’t know how to repeat the same performance again. He is completely in the moment,” she said.

In Alpha, Bobby plays Alia’s mentor, making their on-screen relationship even more exciting. As the story unfolds, Alia’s character is forced to face her mentor, adding suspense and action to the film.

Alia said working with Bobby was a creatively enriching experience. She admired his passion for acting and his willingness to keep learning despite spending many years in the industry.

“I had the best time working with him because he is still like a student in the school of cinema. I feel the same way I’m just happy and grateful to be on set and doing what I love,” she said.

Praising Bobby’s recent performances, Alia added, “Aren’t we all enjoying this new Bobby Deol? He is delivering one impressive performance after another. I’ve heard he is fantastic in Bandar and I can’t wait to watch it. He was outstanding in Animal, so good in Bads, and I think he has done something very special in Alpha.”

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set to release in cinemas worldwide on July 3. The film also stars Sharvari and Anil Kapoor in key roles and promises an action-packed cinematic experience.
