Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh are once again making headlines, but this time for a different reason. Their latest films, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Main Vaapas Aaunga, released in theatres on June 12, 2026, and reportedly registered similar openings at the box office.
Amid discussions about the box office clash, Kangana addressed her much-talked-about equation with Diljit and clarified that she does not hold any personal grudge against the actor-singer.

‘We Are Not Against Each Other’
In an interview with National daily, Kangana spoke candidly about her past differences with Diljit, saying their disagreement was limited to a single issue during the farmers’ protests.
“We are not against each other. We just had contradictory opinions about a certain event which was a protest that was happening. Other than that, I’ve got nothing against that guy. We’ve never even met in real life,” she said.
The actress further added that she believes Diljit also has nothing against her and that having different opinions is completely acceptable.
Open to Meeting Diljit
When asked if she would be willing to meet Diljit in the future, Kangana replied with a simple, “Why not?” Her response reflected a mature approach, suggesting that she has moved on from the controversy that once dominated social media.
However, when asked whether she would text Diljit if she enjoyed his performance in Main Vaapas Aaunga, Kangana laughed and jokingly responded, “That’s too much, na?”
Revisiting Their 2020 Social Media Feud
Kangana and Diljit were involved in one of the most talked-about celebrity disputes during the 2020-2021 farmers’ protests. The controversy began after Kangana mistakenly identified an elderly woman protester, Mahinder Kaur, as Bilkis Bano, who had become a prominent face of the Shaheen Bagh anti-CAA protests.
Diljit publicly corrected her by sharing a video interview of Mahinder Kaur, leading to a heated exchange on social media. The back-and-forth continued for several days, with Kangana even referring to Diljit as “Karan Johar’s chamcha,” while the singer-actor continued to respond to her remarks.
From Social Media Spat to Box Office Battle
Six years later, the two stars are once again in the spotlight as Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Main Vaapas Aaunga compete at the box office. Despite their past differences, Kangana’s latest comments make it clear that she views the episode as a disagreement over opinions rather than a personal rivalry.
For now, both actors remain focused on their respective films, with audiences watching closely to see how the two releases perform in the coming days.
