If not the greatest, then Karan Johar has to be the most iconic filmmaker/Producer of the country who has molded the Bollywood industry like nobody else. The father of Dharma Productions, KJo is known for his signature filmmaking that mostly revolves around romance and thrilling drama. The accomplished filmmaker of the Hindi movie industry who has served his mesmerizing masterpieces over the past decades surely needs no further introduction. As the icon has turned a year older today, on the special day of his 52nd birthday, let's travel back in time to see the mesmerizing movies made by Karan Johar and some of which were produced by his very own Dharma Productions. 

Greatest Films of Karan Johar

1. 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' is a 1998 musical drama helmed by KJo under Yash Raj Films. With an impeccable star cast, screenplay, and plot, it is one of his classics to remember.

2. 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...' is a 2001 romantic family drama featuring a stellar cast ensemble. It is filled with romance, comedy, drama and lots of intriguing musical numbers. 

3. 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' is a Hindi romantic melodrama forming a love triangle between three pivotal characters played by Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. 

4. 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' is a 2006 romantic drama with an interesting storyline of marriage, love, and melodrama. 

5. 'I Hate Luv Storys' is a 2010 rom-com musical starring Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan. Often counted as one of the best Hindi rom-coms, it's storyline is surely loved by many. 

6. 'My Name is Khan' is Karan's other 2010 movie. The romantic drama surely bought out the best version of leading actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. 

7. 'Student of the Year' is a 2012 rom-com movie with an impeccable one-of-a-kind Hindi storyline. Led by debut actors, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Sidharth Malhotra, the movie was loved by all. 

8. 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is a 2013 romantic drama that is often recalled as the most relatable movie for the youths. It deals with dreams, love, family, friends, and life in general. 

9. 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is a 2016 romantic musical, that almost feels like a dreamy romantic melodrama. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai, it was a true treat to know Karan as a director. 

10. 'Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is the latest installment of KJo's filmy ladder. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, it is a whopping movie of casts, plot, and extravaganza.
