Monty Panesar on Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha': One of Aamir Khan's most anticipated movies 'Laal Singh Chaddha' was released in theatres on August 11 amid several protests against the film. #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha was in trending since the film's trailer was released, with several people re-sharing an old interview of Aamir Khan in which he can be heard speaking about religious intolerance in India.
While Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starter 'Laal Singh Chaddha' received a lot of appreciation from the B-town friends and colleagues, a section of society was still offended.
In the meanwhile, the former England cricketer Monty Panesar commented on the film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and expressed his displeasure over the Hindi adaptation of the iconic Oscar Award-winning film 'Forrest Gump'.
Recently, the Indian cricketers, including Virendra Sehwag and Suresh Raina, were not able to stop gushing about 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.
However, Monty Panesar was of a completely different opinion. he compared 'Laal Singh Chaddha' to its original Oscar-winning 'Forrest Gump' that featured Tom Hanks in the lead role.
Monty took to social media and expressed his views on why the scenes in 'Laal Singh Chaddha' could not be the same as in 'Forrest Gump'.
"Forrest Gump fits in the US Army because the US was recruiting low-IQ men to meet requirements for the Vietnam War. This movie is a total disgrace to India Armed Forces Indian Army and Sikhs !! Disrespectful. Disgraceful," Monty Panesar tweeted.
"Aamir plays a moron in Lal Singh Chadda ....... Forrest Gump was a moron too !! Disrespectful. Disgraceful," he added.
