'Dad was hesitant to launch me in 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', says Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan news: Bollywood megastar Hrithik Roshan has completed 22 years in Bollywood. He started his journey with his first debut movie 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' and then never looked back. The actor has recently revealed that he was not the first choice for this movie.

Recently in an interview, the ' Krish' actor said that he recalls the time when his father director Rakesh Roshan was hesitant to choose his son. So, he decided to look for work himself, he even remembers requesting famous photographer Daboo Ratani to click his pictures and that he would pay him later.

However, Hrithik also mentioned that his father had strictly told him that he would not make a film for him, he has to struggle all by himself. Then the actor had given several screen tests, then when it came to the photo shoot he was penniless so he promised photographer Daboo Ratani that he would pay him later.

Further, the actor starts receiving offers and that was the time when his father changed his mind when he saw the actor putting so much effort just to be a part of the film. Hrithik added saying that director Rakesh Roshan was making a film with either Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan.

But he left everything and decided that the movies require someone fresh and new and so he chose his son Hrithik Roshan which was indeed a wise decision. The film turned out to be a blockbuster film at the box office which broke all records.
