Jagdeep Sidhu is unquestionably one of Punjabi cinema's most talented directors and writers. In addition to Qismat, Qismat 2, Sufna, and Lekh, the filmmaker has worked on a number of other successful films. Dildariyaan, a 2015 film, is one of them.
Dildariyaan, starring Jassie Gill and Sagarika Ghatge, became a fan favourite. But did you know that the film's writer, Jagdeep Sidhu, had a unique perspective on it? There are eight causes for this. Dildariyaan was Jagdeep Sidhu's debut film. This indicates that Sidhu enjoyed writing, but it was the story of this film that first brought him into the industry.
Jagdeep has revealed that the story of Dildariyaan was influenced by the Bollywood superhit Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. While Shahrukh Khan and Kajol featured in DDLJ as two strangers who meet and fall in love, the plot of this Punjabi film took a similar path.

Jagdeep jokingly revealed that Dildariyaan was the first assignment for which he received the promised payments.
Jagdeep clearly remembers a lot from the movie, and he treasures the recollections. Jagdeep's career in the Punjabi cinema business was launched with this film, and his brilliance has never looked back since.
