Election Commission of India names Pankaj Tripathi as its 'National Icon'

Pankaj Tripathi news: In yet another achievement of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced that the Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi will be its national icon.

Yes, you read it right. Pankaj Tripathi, who often hits news headlines for his acting skills and his calm personality, has been named the national icon of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Earlier in 2018, Tripathi was declared the ‘State Icon’ of Bihar. The 46-year-old Pankaj Tripathi hails from Bihar. He is known for his signature style of acting.

The actor expressed gratitude to the Election Commission of India for giving him the responsibility to become the national icon of ECI.

While speaking to All India Radio, Pankaj Tripathi said that he was thankful to the ECI for naming him the National Icon. He was humbled to be the first icon from Bihar.

Tripathi said that Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar asked him about the same. In the meanwhile, the formalities were yet to be completed via exchange of emails.
