Elon Musk to restore Donald Trump's Twitter: Following his questionable role in instigating violence in the US Capitol on January 6, Twitter users are divided on whether former US President Donald Trump should be permitted on the platform.
However, Elon Musk while speaking at the Financial Times Future of the Car conference, said he might lift Twitter's ban on former US President Donald Trump. Musk, who has described himself as a "free speech absolutist," just agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion.
For the unversed, Former US President Donald Trump's tweet was blamed for the rioting that erupted after the US presidential election on January 6th. Following that, Twitter permanently suspended Trump's 88 million-follower Twitter account with immediate effect, citing the potential of future escalation of the violence.

It is worth noticing that earlier, Trump in an interview stated that he won't return to Twitter even if Elon Musk buys the platform and he would rather use his own social media app, Truth Social, which was launched in February 2021 but was prone to glitches until recently before allowing more users to use the platform.
