Filmfare Awards 2022: Punjabi singer B Praak, who often hits the right chords, received the Best Playback Singer (Male) award for the song 'Mann Bharrya' from 'Shershaah' at the 67th Filmfare awards.

The song was composed and sung by B Praak. It was a recreated version of the hit song for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani's film 'Shershaah'.

The emotional song was played during the funeral scene of Sidharth's character 'Captain Vikram Batra' in the film. The singer received a lot of appreciation from the audience.

Written by Jaani, the song has garnered over 200 million views on YouTube. Besides, 'Shershaah' received the highest number of Nominations at the 67th Filmfare awards and received Best Playback Singer- Female, Best Action, and the Best Editing Awards.

'Shershaah' also bagged the Best Film at Filmfare awards 2022.

Bankrolled by Karan Johar, the film featured Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film premiered exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Vishnuvaradhan, 'Shershaah' was based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra.

Vikram Batra laid down his life while recapturing the Indian territories from the Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999.

The film featured Sidharth as Vikram Batra and Kiara as his girlfriend Dimple Cheema.
