However, beyond the battlefield, Napoleon's story takes a captivating turn with his intense relationship with Josephine – his lover, wife, and empress. The director sees Napoleon's tale as an opportunity to explore the duality and psychology of a military genius on an epic scale.

"I was fascinated with how a man like this who’s on his way to take Moscow could be obsessed with what his wife is doing back in Paris," says the director.

The film, titled 'Napoleon,' stars Joaquin Phoenix in the title role and Vanessa Kirby as his one true love, Josephine. Set to be released on November 24, 2023, in English and Hindi, 'Napoleon' promises to bring this captivating historical figure to life on the big screen, showcasing not only his military genius but also the complex dynamics of his personal life.
