Bollywood actress Kiara Advani, who is currently enjoying the success of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', has finally opened up on criticism against her character 'Preeti' from Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh'.
Kiara Advani has been a part of several commercial blockbusters and these include 'Kabir Singh', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', and 'JugJugg Jeeyo' among others.
Kabir Singh, which featured Shahid Kapoor in the titular role, was helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film emerged as one of the top-grosser movies of the year. However, it had also received its share of criticism.
Apart from Shahid Kapoor's character Kabir Singh, Kiara Advani's character 'Preeti' was also criticised. 'Kabir' was called out for his toxic traits.
After over 3 years, Kiara Advani has reacted to the criticism. She explained that an actor would like to be versatile. While talking to Grazia, Kiara Advani said that she couldn't let her judgments come in the way of any grey character.
Kiara said if she would play a murderer in her next movie, would that make her one? She further said that it was hypocritical to praise the artists who otherwise play a grey shade and then criticise them when they play a grey shade of a regular character.
She said that her character in Kabir Singh didn't tolerate Kabir's problematic traits. Kiara explained, that Preeti left Kabir in the film after he raised his hands on her. About Preeti coming back to Kabir, she said that's how love supersedes everything else and that all relationships are complicated.
