Kirti Kulhari talks about her 'kissing scene' with Shefali Shah in new web series 'Human'

In their new series, Human, which is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar, actors Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari are shown kissing. Kirti recently discussed in an interview the kiss and the groundwork that an actor has to go through before filming such intimate sequences.

Kirti has stated that it was weird for her to consider attempting to create chemistry with a lady throughout this situation. What was going through his head while he was filming this scene? What was going through her mind?

Kirti said, “I think the most nervous person for the kissing scene was my director Mozez Singh. I was only (thinking) ‘what if I kiss her and feel something, what if I get turned on?’

She further quoted, “I have never done this before. It is still strange for me to create that chemistry for a woman, to really give the expressions I would, falling for a guy. It is different,”

“I realised it is not about whether it is a man or a woman in front of me but about the feeling, it is about what I am feeling for the person.”

Kirti went on to say that kissing a lady made her feel 'weird.' She explained that she is an actor who is aware of her responsibilities as a performer, but that it was strange for her to 'create that chemistry for a woman.' She went on to say that after a while, she convinced herself that it wasn't so much about the gender as it was about the other person's feelings.

Talking about the web series Human, Gauri Nath (Shefali Shah) and Saira Sabarwal (Kirti Kulhari), two strong-willed, ambitious doctors, are at the forefront of the series, which begins with a tale about illegal drug experiments on the underprivileged.

It seems to be a drama about the politics that surround unethical drug experimentation on humans and its consequences, but the show's creators didn't forget that the physical form isn't the only component of being human. A functional mind is required to be called that.
