'Pippa' movie star cast, release date and real story: Ishaan Khatter's 'Pippa' has been awaited for quite some time. The film unveils the 'untold' story of the valour of our soldiers who effortlessly fought the historical 1971 India-Pakistan War. To mark the celebration of the 75th Independence day, the makers of the Bollywood movie 'Pippa' have released the teaser of the film which surely left fans with goosebumps.

'Pippa' is an action-packed war drama that features Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur, including several other significant actors namely Soni Razdan. The movie, which is based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war, was made by RSVP movies and is helmed by Raja Krishna Menon.

The teaser begins with the voice of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, announcing war against Pakistan in 1971. The clip then provides a quick glimpse of Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and Soni Razdan's characters. However, nothing much about their characters has been revealed in the teaser.

Pippa movie real story

'Pippa' narrates the tale of three siblings against the backdrop of the action-packed 48-hour Battle of Garibpur. The battle took place on the eastern front of India during the India-Pakistan War of 1971. The film is inspired by actual events and Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta's war book 'The Burning Chaffees'.

The teaser description stated that, "'Pippa's title refers to the magnificent Russian amphibious war tank PT-76 that was used in the war. It was lovingly nicknamed “Pippa”, Punjabi for an empty ‘ghee da dabba’ that smoothly floats on water."

Pippa Star Cast

Ishaan Khatter's  Pippa' is being helmed by Raja Menon which has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur, RSVP Movies, and Roy Kapur Films. Meanwhile, the film's background score is given by AR Rahman.

Pippa Release Date: 

As announced, the film will be released in theaters on December 3.
