Ponniyin Selvan: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan channels royal vibes as Queen Nandini in Mani Ratnam's next
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's new character poster was recently released by the upcoming epic opus's creators. In the film directed by Mani Ratnam, she is portraying Nandini. Aishwarya appears to be a really kind-hearted queen in the poster. The movie, which is based on the Chola empire, is supposed to have Nandini as its major role.
In the movie, the actress will play the revenge-seeking queen Nandini. With long hair and captivating eyes, she looks stunning in a saree.
Sharing the new look of Aishwarya, the makers stated, "Vengeance has a beautiful face! Meet Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor! #PS1 releasing in theatres on 30th September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada."
The epic historical novel by renowned author Kalki Krishnamurthy stands as the inspiration for the film. Arulmozhi Varman, who later rose to power as Rajaraja Chola I, is the focus of the five-volume novel Ponniyin Selvan.

Ponniyin Selvan is Mani Ratnam's most expensive, expansive, and ambitious film to date. His debut costume drama, a dramatised portrayal of the Chola empire, was released in 2017. The film also stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayaram Ravi, Trisha, Asihwariya Lekshmi, Sobhita, Sarath Kumar, Parthiban, and Lal.
Aishwarya and Mani Ratnam have worked together four times as of Ponniyin Selvan. Ratnam's classic hit Iruvar served as her cinematic debut (1997). She has portrayed the female protagonist in Raavanan and Guru by Ratnam.
