PTC Punjabi Claims No 2 Spot On Lohri Day In UK, Beats Sony TV, Colors & Zee TV

World's No 1 Punjabi entertainment channel, PTC Punjabi claimed No 2 spot in UK during Lohri day i.e on January 13. According to the latest ratings data released by BizAsiaLive.com, PTC Punjabi defeated its competitors Sony TV (0.07%), Colors (0.04%) and Zee TV (0.03%) to stand at No 2 with a share of 0.10%.

“The slot between 15:00 – 18:00, which included its daily Shabad Gurbani slot, was watched by an average 22,500 viewers, while 18:00 – 21:00 slot was averagely watched by over 28, 000 viewers,” BizAsiaLive.com reported.

Punjabi blockbuster film ‘Ashke’ was shown during the 18:00 – 21:00 slot. Directed by Amberdeep Singh, the film stars Amrinder Gill and Sarabjit Cheema. Ashke is a fun-loving comedy which is based on cultural dance “Bhangra”.

Earlier, PTC Punjabi claimed the top spot in UK ratings on November 17.

PTC Punjabi was launched in February 2013 in the UK. The Punjabi entertainment is available free-to-air on SKY Digital.

PTC Punjabi UK showcases mixture of music, religious, reality TV and dramas to entertain whole family. Besides talent shows, the channel also broadcasts blockbuster Punjabi movies during weekends.
