Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan recently received a death threat that stated that the father-son duo will meet the same fate as Sidhu Moose Wala.
It may be recalled that Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29 after some assailants stopped his car and ambushed him.
The singer had reportedly suffered as many as 24 bullet injuries while one of the bullets was recovered from the skull of the late singer.
In the meanwhile, Salman Khan has been issued an Arms licence on his request for self-protection following the death threat letter that he received recently.
Salman's father Salim Khan had received a death threat in early June, only few days after singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead near Punjab's Mansa on May 29.
The licence issuing authority had initiated a probe after Salman Khan met the Mumbai Police Commissioner last month. The actor visited the Mumbai Police headquarters late last month and met the top cop Vivek Phansalkar regarding a gun licence.
Salman wanted to own a gun for self-protection, the sources stated, adding that his visit to the police headquarters was for physical verification before the licensing authority which is a mandatory step while applying for a gun licence.
