Salman Khan seeks permission for weapon license: Bollywood star Salman Khan visited Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar on Friday in the latter's office in south Mumbai.

Around 4 pm, the actor drove his car to the Mumbai police headquarters, which is next to Crawford Market, and met Mr. Phansalkar, according to the reports.

The 56-year-old actor reportedly applied in written for a weapon licence with Mumbai Police after receiving the threat threat, according to sources, in order to better safeguard himself. Salman and Mumbai CP had a meeting related to the licence.

A threat letter was delivered to Salman Khan and his father, famous writer-producer Salim Khan, earlier in June. A further investigation is currently being conducted after a FIR was initially lodged at the Bandra police station against an unidentified person.

Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan were sent a letter last month warning that they will suffer the same fate as the murdered Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala. After receiving the letter, Mr. Khan's security had been boosted.

In the meantime, Salman Khan will star alongside Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3. In addition, he has been working on the film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which also features Pooja Hegde and Shehnaaz Gill. By the end of the year, Salman's No Entry 2 is also anticipated to start filming. In addition, he will have a unique role in Chiranjeevi's Godfather.
